caught up with the catch up

So as most of you know currently I am in Bournemouth for a brief visit. Back at my fathers desk which so reminds me of this very time last summer, when it was here that I sat writing my first updates on preparations for India, and where my imagination gazed away at the months ahead with the possibilities and outcomes both vague and a mystery. I consider myself quite the thoughtful type in general, and its the quiet of my parents home that has drawn me to dwell all the more on what I've experienced and what I feel the Lord has been saying over these past few months/year. In these times I am so filled with thankfulness for all I've learned and experienced, and His provision in such rich social, financial and prayer support.

There are a few reasons why you may not have heard so much from me over the past few months. On a practical note, I was unaware that sending updates out through the BCC option on e-mail is almost guaranteed to end up turning into spam, so I'm working on that. An energy sapping virus lasting on-and-off the best part of six weeks, upkeep at the Manor and a lot of processing and praying through my experiences with DTS, where I am now and my dreams for the future.

A big part of my processing has been my reasoning for going to Holmsted, the purpose in which the Lord called me there for and what significance that bears. Stripping things back to the foundations. Holmsted is known for its anointing in training and equipping aspiring missionaries and sending them out into the nations to follow the dreams the Lord has laid on their hearts. I feel this is both a heritage and an inheritance that I have stepped into. It is my seasons at Holmsted (Praise God) that have found me a new man. Joy in revelation, the rubber hitting the road, gaining vision, steps of faith, maturity.

To cut to the chase, after much prayer and processing. Praying over a map of India is great, but I am feeling the challenge and the call to go. To listen, to experience, network, to pray. to GO. I am hoping to be heading out early next year, the locations, people and length of time are all working out as I pray more into it and as I get closer to the time. Until then I will remain at Holmsted serving and training there as I prepare to go.

Alongside preparations for next year, there will be practical things to do at Holmsted, getting involved with my local church there. I've had an invitation to join a missions programme coordinator on a pastoral visit to Singapore where a good friend and prayer supporter will be training and serving. I will also continue to get more involved in worship and song writing and am booked in to be recording for a compilation album with other Christian artists raising money for some great causes. I'll let you know more about that soon.

Thank you so much for reading, and for all your prayers and support.

Blessed to be a blessing.

Adam
